Husktobrick is a modular brick system, made of agricultural waste-rice husk fibre. Husktobrick is suitable for the irregular floor shape which always happened in the farm village near the farm. Huskstobrick can be reuse when the house is reforming and can be biodegraded into fertilizer for the soil after discard to our Mother Earth.
Produced in glossy surface finishing, and inherited the anti-fungus properties from rice husks, heat resistance with its high-density properties. And never the less, the redesign process of the brick, with the goal of reusing, comfortably, and the modular ability for the undeveloped area.
「もみがら」で作った、農村などにある不規則な床にも適しているモジュラー式煉瓦システムである。「もみがら」は米の殻，アジアに一番多い農業廃棄物である。「もみがら」の中には硬い繊維と二酸化ケイ素が多い含まれていて、粘土の性質が同じいので。そこから発想し、「もみがら」の生まれ土地に何かできると思いつつ、「もみがら」の煉瓦を制作した。伝統的な煉瓦より耐火性が高い、特に農村にの建築はほとんどは木造であり、家を建てる素材の防火性が受視される。さらに、HUSKTOBRICK で建てる家をリフォームの時にも、何度でも再利用される、廃棄されても土地に生分解ができ、肥料になれる。
